Newman Elementary

About Us Home

About Us

Established in 1952, Newman Elementary School was named in honor of four generations of the Newman family who were pioneers in the Chino education system.  Mr. O.J. Newman, the family’s patriarch, was a constable and businessman. Ms. Genevieve Newman V. McCrossen and Ms. Florence Newman Toste were both educators, while Mr. Earl Newman served as a school board member.

Today, our outstanding staff happily supports students in kindergarten through sixth grade and emphasizes a culture that focuses on universal achievement and collaboration where all students THRIVE!

Mr. Lee is a positive presence on campus as he strives to engage with students and encourage them to uphold the 3 Bs of Newman Elementary School: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe! ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL CAMILLE MOET

Assistant principals play a critical role in our schools. They have the incredible opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, staff, and families to help ensure everyone has a positive experience on campus. They serve as a bridge between school leadership and the community by providing guidance, supporting instruction, and building meaningful relationships.

We are thrilled to welcome Assistant Principal Camille Moet as she begins her first year as an assistant principal and her first year serving the Newman Family. Ms. Moet believes that every child deserves to feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to grow. She is excited to devote her time and leadership to our Newman Knights, Champions, and families.

We encourage our Newman Family to read Ms. Moet’s letter to the community and learn more about the experiences, values, and commitment she brings to Newman Elementary. Please join us in giving Ms. Moet a warm Newman welcome as she begins this exciting new chapter!
